EQUIP: Coram Deo Church

EQUIP is a theological development program that helps Christians learn how to better serve Jesus and his church.

program overview

EQUIP offers two years worth of cohort-based, modular learning that emphasizes devotion, doctrine, and mission. With the help of theologically rich, high-quality content, EQUIP is aimed at forming you as a disciple and leader.

Year One: Why Devotion?
Since nothing can replace a vibrant relationship with Jesus, nothing is more important in your life or ministry than communion with him. This coursework will provide essential theory and practice of the spiritual disciplines that will help you grow and stay close to your Savior.

Why Doctrine?

Every person lives and leads out their foundational theological convictions. A fruitful life of discipleship and mission requires you to possess the theological clarity to contextualize the gospel, explain the Bible, disciple others, and gently correct false teaching. Learn how to deepen your theological development so your life and ministry are grounded in a healthy foundation.

Year Two: Why Mission?

God himself has determined our appointed times and places of living (Acts 17:26), and it is no accident that we live in certain neighborhoods, work certain jobs, and have relationships with certain people. During year two, EQUIP will help grow your desire and skill to live as an "everyday missionary" in every sphere of life to reach those around you with the good news of Jesus Christ.

God is at work redeeming people to himself and restoring all creation, graciously using sinners like us as instruments to further this work.

Who Should CONSIDER JoinING?

EQUIP offers deep theological development, and that level of development requires devotion. The more time you invest, the greater the rewards in both formation and fruitfulness. You should consider participating if you:

  • desire to grow spiritually

  • want to deepen your understanding of the Bible, Christian doctrine, and spiritual formation

  • want to be equipped to lead both yourself and others

You can plan to spend an average of 4-5 hours a week on EQUIP work. This includes your cohort meeting, modules, reading, and reflection.
