Jesus Is Better | Matthew 19:13-30

We all feel an ache for meaning, often trying to fill a spiritual hole with a material thing. Jesus’s interactions in Matthew 19 with children, the rich young ruler, and his disciples all point to one fundamental truth: Jesus is better. He is better than our vain attempts to fill our lives with self-importance, security, and the fragility of scorekeeping and comparison. In this sermon, we look at how the truth that Jesus is better frees us to empty our lives for his kingdom.
