Discipleship

Baptism

Two men finish baptizing another man and their hands are up in celebration.

Baptism is a sign of discipleship to Jesus, and is intended to follow a credible profession of faith in Jesus. Nowhere is this made more clear than in the Great Commission.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

If you are ready to be baptized as a public profession of your faith in Jesus, we would love to help you take the next step. We hold Baptism celebrations 2-3 times per year and approach them with intentionality and joy.

Here’s a snapshot of the baptism process at Coram Deo:

  • Believe the gospel and profess faith in Jesus Christ

  • Read Baptism position paper & What Is True Conversion booklet

  • Write out your personal conversion story (we’ll give you a guide)

  • Meet with an Elder or Deacon for a Baptism Interview

To discuss baptism, please email Mike Kresnik.

Church Membership

A couple hundred adults smile at the camera during a church membership meeting.

Church membership isn’t about belonging to a club — it’s about being a faithful disciple of Jesus and taking responsibility for the health and growth of His church. For this reason, we treat church membership as a process, not a destination. Our goal isn’t to get you there “as fast as possible.” Our goal is to move you along the journey in a meaningful and purposeful way. We want to help you love Christ, love his church, and embrace the commitments of church membership wholeheartedly.

The pathway to becoming a member at Coram Deo Church includes:

    • Profess faith in Jesus, be baptized, and begin the journey of discipleship.

    • Be part of a Gospel Community.

    • Watch the Church Membership video series.

    • Attend a Prospective Members Forum.

    • Complete Membership Questionnaire & “Conversion Story” writing assignment.

    • Complete a membership interview with an elder or deacon.

    • Affirm the covenant of membership before your fellow church members.

If you are interested in pursuing membership at Coram Deo, email Ryan Meyer, our Connection & Mercy Ministry Director.

Student Ministry

Coram Deo’s Student Ministry exists to help middle school and high school students (grades 6-12) grow deep theological roots, cultivate Christlikeness, and mature in their faith. It’s also a context where students who do not yet consider themselves Christians can make friends and make sense of God.

Student Ministry meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm (high school) or Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm (middle school). During our gatherings, students enjoy a meal together, play games, receive thoughtful Bible teaching, and engage in meaningful conversations about Christianity in a small group setting.

College Community

The college years are an important time for learning and growing as a disciple. Our College Community allows you to be connected to the local church while also having significant discipleship relationships with others who are in a similar life stage. To get connected, email our college leaders.

Women's Discipleship

Women’s discipleship helps to further our mission by offering spaces, resources, and development for women to grow as disciples and leaders. Opportunities include bi-annual women’s gatherings, Bible studies, and retreats.

If you are interested in more information regarding upcoming events and bible studies, please email Sara Ellis, our Deacon of Women’s Discipleship.
